Fishing Zones
Fishing Zones are areas in WEBFISHING that allow the player to catch certain fish while fishing, or have some other unique purpose. Some zones are permanent, while others are occasionally spawned by events and only last for a certain period of time before despawning.
Freshwater
All lakes, rivers, and ponds are freshwater zones, as well as the Well and Toilet props. Freshwater fish can be caught in freshwater, as well as junk objects and Treasure Chests.
During Rain, there is a 7.84% chance of catching rain fish in freshwater.
Saltwater
The ocean is the only saltwater zone. Saltwater fish can be caught in saltwater, as well as junk objects and Treasure Chests.
During Rain, there is a 7.84% chance of catching rain fish in saltwater.
Ripples
See also: Events#Ripples.
Ripples are special temporary fishing zones that can spawn in either freshwater or saltwater, and inherit the zone type of the zone they spawned in. What makes ripples are unique, however, is that they increase catch rate by 2400%, and increase the chance of catching higher quality fish.

Meteors
See also: Events#Meteors.
Meteors are a special fishing zone where only alien fish can be caught. For meteors, the catch rate is increased by 400%.
The Void
The Void is a special fishing zone that is similar to freshwater, but with the addition of a 2.33%[1] chance of catching a CREATURE. It can be accessed by interacting with a Void Portal or falling into the water in any out of bounds zone.
Once you enter the Void, a system message will read: "you feel a light breeze...". Once you exit the Void, a system message will read: "you feel warm once again...". You can exit The Void by using the Return to Spawn feature, or by falling into water.
Another unique property of the Void is all walkable space is fishable.
Outside of the unique species of fish, the Void functions just like any other body of freshwater, whereas "out of Bounds" areas function as saltwater.
Similar to private islands, no other event spawns will occur in the Void (e.g. rain, ripples, meteors), although small rainclouds can be spawned in the void through the use of the Shower Lure.
Void Portals
See also: Events#Void Portals.
Void Portals are entrances to the Void that rarely spawn near the edges of the map. Many Void Portal locations can only be reached with the use of either Bounce Brew or Jump Mushrooms. A Void Portal will spawn on average every 67 minutes (0.25% chance every 10 seconds), and lasts for 10 minutes before despawning. When near a Void Portal, howling wind can be heard. Interacting with the Void Portal will send the player to the Void.
Out of bounds methods
- Go inside any building and placing/using a private island flag outside the wall; upon entering and leaving the island, you will spawn out of bounds.
- Go inside any building and use a consumable that gives you a Jump Boost effect. Jump over the wall, and you will land out of bounds.
- Go inside any building and get punched by another player using the Super Boxing Glove to get launched over the wall, landing you out of bounds.
- After having drank at least two Shrink Sodas, go inside any building and while standing against a wall and facing away from it, place a Therapy Seat prop. This will push the player out of bounds.
Notes
- ↑ The alt chance is 2.5%, but can still be overridden by the junk and/or treasure roll, which decreases the chance to 2.33%.
